If an American Thinks Something is Of Value, It Must Be Taxed

Virtual property, World of Warcraft armor and weapons,  Second Life currency, Ultima On-line Castles, all fake property in games, but people see value in it so the American Government will be taxing it.  They don’t say when, but they will.  Why is it that everything needs to be taxed?  If it has some value to an American it needs to make the government money.

Monopoly has never been taxed, If they start taxing virtual property they should tax hotels and purchase of land in Monopoly.  What is the difference between a virtual castle and Park Place?  The government is getting into everything to get more money for itself, simply because it can.  Is it right?  No, it does not need more funding than it has today.

Simple things like taxing virtual property will destroy the little trust we still have for the government.  The Fathers of The American Revolution fought for far less than what our government is doing today.  They were willing to die to be rid of a tyrant that was far less evil than our current government.  The USA government is simply losing sight of the fact that the government is here for the people, not to rule over them.

Corporations Given the Right to Tax US Population

The headline should have already made your head explode. This has been going on for years and I have one example. If you are a blueberry farmer in the USA you are legally bound to pay a tax to a coorporation called the North American Blueberry Council. Yes this is a private cooproration run by the people not the government. The government saw fit that this coorporation shouold charge taxes so they passed laws to allow them to require payment of a certain percentage of the crop harvested per farm in the USA selling blueberries.

So now that we see that the government is out-sourcing things like taxation, how does this affect the freedoms we enjoy? Well to start out with, a cooproration will be bent on doing better simply for its owners and not its “people”. It is not a government so it has motives simply to make money and pay larger wages. This cooporation will not have the best interest of the people in mind. It will take the money simply to try and make more money. Secondly, this is a test of will for the American People. The fact that nobody is in arms over this drives me crazy. Soon the government will see fit that your local dentist, or grocery store can charge a tax because of the service they provide the community.

What do we do now? Well, we are all screwed to put it nicely. There is that one coorporation already charging taxes and there are probably more. If there is only one coorporation doing it now there will be more. The Government is creating laws that get rid of our representation and allow money to run our lives. In my opinion we should be in revolt now if it is going that direction. I suppose we can still try and change the laws that allow such socialist type measures in the USA, but who will do this? What are we to do when the government is corrupt to the point of letting big business run its people into the ground? I have no idea.

I will stop this talk before I get myself in trouble, but you see where Americans should stand on the original freedoms that were set up by the founding fathers and not on the socialist and demented rules of our current troop of uglies.
