The concept to me seems very odd, to war. Why must man constantly kill large groups of each-other? The single individuals do not have any problem with each-other, the leaders have the issues. Why can’t the leaders just have a knife duel to the death and then the war be settled? Should many of thousands of young men and women be killing and being killed because of some differences in how the leaders lead?
It seems like, by now, man would have figured out how to not kill each-other. Why do we need the wars? It must be just a need for us to have conflict. Basically a war is one leaders, or ruling factions, attempt to enforce their will on another leader or ruling faction. The people inside that country are irrelevant, but they are the ones who die and get hurt. If the leaders of the war were standing in the front lines with the assault rifle, maybe they would call it all off.
I am not writing this about any specific war, I am just wondering why fight at all. There is never any good enough reason to launch an assault on another people, unless genocide is occurring. Even then a simple assassination would probably do the trick. Why don’t governments use means to fight other governments and not fight the people that live under them? If the leaders just killed each-other I believe the world would be getting better, but the world is falling apart due to the fact that the leaders cause problems and then demand that the people solve them with blood.
