Internet Control and Censorship

By newsit

Ok, On Wednesday I told you I was going to talk about this topic, and here it goes. I will give simply two examples of censorship on the internet, but the source of it may surprise you.

My first example is one many probably have faced if you use forums on the net. If you post a topic on a forum it may or may not get a lot of viewers. The amount of viewers of your topic means nothing though. The administration of that forum may not like your topic, so they simply move it off to a non-popular part of the forum or delete it completely. This has happened to me on many occassions.

I go into a forum and post a topic, it gets a fairly popular response by the users of that community, but the administration simply, for some reason, kicks it off siting some unreasonable reasons why it should not be on the forum. This is cenorship, if people in that community were interested in the topic, why kick it off? Hmm, seems to be some invisible motivations here behind the seens.

My second example of Censorship is a lot larger and a lot easier to see. I recently got banned from a large site where you go and report internet news. They gave no reasons besides “Bad IP Address”. I was an active person in their community and simply was banned for no reason. The kicker is that they advertise that they are user controlled content. That is funny, if the users are controlling it then why did the administration of the site ban me?

This is alarming, I was banned directly after one day one of my arcticles drew about 8000 people from their site. This means that they were tracking where the people left their site and to where they were going. Say if all 8000 of those people left the site and never came back, they threw a red flag and said this guy is taking our advertisement money away. So, they declare a Bad IP Address and problem solved.

That site gets over a million viewers a day, and they are actively changing the way the information looks to those people to simply be what they want the world to look like. They are in control of what you see and what you read on their site. They do not simply let the viewers lower the score of bad content to control what the users want to see, they ban the bad and probably promote the good stuff they want.

In short you all must keep your mind open when you are on the web. The information is most likely controlled by a multi million dollar corporation that has the right and the capability to delete individuals and articles cleanly off their servers as if it never existed.

Since I was banned from that site I have created a site that does what it should. www.YouNewsIt.com. Check it out, it is brand new and small at this time, but if you support freedom and free speech maybe we can spread the word with it. Until tomorrow, I will show you the world of Good and Evil, and I’m not talking just politics. Keep looking for freedom.
